crosscut sled and first cut

Made a crosscut sled, with the material´s i had around, it is not super sturdy but it gets the job done. It cuts really square:

Sled grooves

Used the saw to make 4 cuts, and then chiseled away the grooves:

The legs

Pretty simple also, just 4 peaces of wood all the same size:

Eletrical

Nothing too complicated here, just an outlet on th inside and a switch on te outside:

Mounting the saw

Ok,

Now i gained the courage to make the cuts to mount the saw. On the inside i chiseled the format of the saw to secure it, and gain more depth  in the cut:

With a bit of care it all got quite square:

Making the fence rail

Hello, im back to continue the build.

I gave a look at the metal bin to see watt i could use to make the rail.
Found a L bean and some square tubbing:

Added square tube to the fence also:

The fence stay´s in place and square with the saw when i turn this wing nut:

Making the fence

On to making the rip fence.

Made a L shape fence from a square peace of wood, and screwed it in a piece of plywood, to give it a bit of strength.:

The fence will move in a rail squared to the saw, i will be making the rail with material´s that i have around the garage. It will probably be with square tubing.

Homemade table saw

So i wanted to start woodworking, had a circular saw for a long time and always wanted to make a table saw out of it.

I wanted to make one without spending too much money, and have access to some types of wood at my job mainly pallet wood.

So i gathered some plywood, and laminated two boards together:

Made a square box structure with some pallet wood:

And glued/screwed the laminated plywood to the square box:
